The Sugar Bowl 139
Well, isn't time flying by. Yep - it's time for the challenge over at Sugar Nellie again. As always it is an anything goes theme, but make sure you use an image that you can get over at Funky Kits. I decided to make a Christmas Tag this month. I have been seeing cards with an acetate curve at the front. So I decided to try it, but on a tag. And I am quite liking it. So I cut the tag using the largest die from MFT Tag Die. The trees are from Impressions Obsessions, the snow drifts are MFT. The star is from Memory Box. I decided to give it a snowy feel by adding some Stampendous chunky embossing powder. Of course I used the super sweet mini Gorjuss Girl #10 Purrfect Love. I just love all the Gorjuss range and there is a great range of them over at Funky Kits. And finished off with a bit of ribbon.
I don't know if you can see the acetate any better in this one. But it is there I promise. I coloured her with Polychromos pencils and blended with Sansador using paper stumps. So what you waiting for - hop on over to The Sugar Nellie Blog and see what everyone else has made. There is a super prize of 4 stamps to be won, but you have gotta be in it to win it.
I am going to enter this wee cutie into the ABC Christmas Challenge where the theme is O for overlay. I think the acetate covers that.

The Sugar Bowl 138
Yep it's that time again. Time for another Challenge over at Sugar Nellie. These Months are just flying buy aren't they. It'll be Christmas before we know it. Haha - yes I did say the C word. I really do need to start my Christmas cards soon. I usually enjoy making them throughout the year, but I haven't made any this year - oops. Anyway - back to the challenge. As usual it is anything goes, as long as you use a Sugar Nellie stamp. They have a cool prize of 4 stamps or digis of your choice. So dig out your Sugar Nellie / Gorjuss Girl stamps and play along.
Well for my card I have used an oldie. Miss Tulip by Mary Hall. And she is only £2.00 - a bargain. I thought she would be good to colour with the Nature class from Kit and Clowder, but I haven't got the class yet. So when I do eventually get it (yep - I am likely to get it pretty soon) then I may colour her up again to see the difference. The square die is MFT, the Sun is Lil Inker and the tag is a Spellbinder die. The sentiment is Taloured Expressions I think. The paper is digi from Sweet Shoppe Designs - A Whimsical garden by Kristen Cronin Barrow. I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday but have rotated it slightly.

The Sugar Nellie Challenge
Yep, it's that time again for the Sugar Nellie Challenge. Again we have an anything goes theme. Nice and simple for you all. For my card today I have used a digi stamp from the Simply Adorable range. This one is called Lizzie. And if you aren't into digi stamps, she is also available as printed stamps to colour from The Hobby House. (and the other set from The Hobby House). The papers are downloads from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Here without you by Krystal Hartley. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards which I have had for ages. Thought I should use some up. A bit of lace, a doily and some pearls to finish. Coloured with Polychromos pencils and blended with Sansador using paper stumps.
I am going to enter her into the Challenge over at Dream Valley Challenges where the theme is add a doily.

Sugar Nellie
Please remember the Challenge has now moved to it's new home over on The Sugar Nellie Blog.
I was asked if I wanted to join the DT over on The Sugar Bowl Challenge. Hmm, let me think about it - err yes of course I do. So here I am with my first DT card. I decided to use this cute stamp from the Scrapberry's range. This on is called Blue Bunny. It is smaller than the others I have got, but still cute and easy to use. I decided to make a Gift card holder and just to show that you can still make a card with them, I made a 5"x 5" card too.
I used papers from Pink Petticoat and a doily. The tag is an MFT die and is a bit smaller than I was expecting. But it works I think. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.
There are some changes happening to the Challenge from now on. The Challenge will be on The Sugar Nellie Blog and hopefully will attract more people to enter.

The Sugar Bowl 135
Over on the Sugar Nellie Blog they are showcasing Leanne Ellis Stamps this week. So I decided to dig out one for my card for the Challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. So I used Mermaid, don't you just love her. She is coloured with Copics, and very glittery using Wink of Stella (not that it shows in the picture). The papers are digi from here. I have used several dies - First Edition Crab, La La Land Seaweed, and Marianne Design shell. The sentiment is Lili of the Valley. I also want to enter her into the ABC Challenge - E for everything (anything goes). Oops, nearly forgot - I used the sketch (which I rotated) from Sketch Saturday so am entering her over there too.

The Sugar Bowl 134
When I heard that The Hobby House had brought out these art pads with Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable images I just had to dig out one of those Digi stamps. So I used Victoria. She wasn't the first one I coloured right enough. I coloured the other one with Copics, but the blue was just too blue (for me anyway), so I dug out the trusty Polychromos Pencils and coloured this one. I didn't want to go too bright (which I normally do). The papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs and are by Krystal Hartley. I am entering her into the Sugar Bowl Challenge where they have an Anything goes theme. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and a bit of twine, pearls and a pin to finish off.

The Sugar Bowl 133
I have been on a roll with making cards this week. That'll not go on for long and then it'll be another month before my mojo comes back. Haha. Anyway, got my card here for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This wee cutie is from Sugar Nellie (of course), but I think she has retired. The papers are from Papermania from years ago. I am finally cutting into my old papers. And believe me - I have loads. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions.

The Sugar Bowl 132
A wee pink card from me for the Sugar Bowl Challenge using an All Dressed Up rubber stamp from Sugar Nellie. The papers are digi from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Sweet Sixteen by Melissa Bennet. All was going well until I added the rhinestones to the flowers, but hey ho - they are stuck now. Hopefully someone will like it haha.x I am also entering her into the All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge where the theme is pink. Hmm, think it might just fit in there.

The Sugar Bowl 131
A bit of a late one from me. I haven't done much crafting of late, but hopefully things are gonna get back to normal. So I went simple and made a wee tag with this cute Gorjuss Girl. Yes she is the wee one, but she does come in the larger size too - here. Anyway I am going to enter her into The Sugar Bowl Challenge where they have an anything goes theme. The little bit of paper is digi from Michele Roo Designs. Spellbinders Holly diecuts and Taylored Expressions sentiment.
And while I was at it, I made another tag for the snowflake/star challenge over at All Dressed Up Facebook page. This wee Cutie comes in a set of three. The papers are again from Michele Roo Designs and the sentiment is again Taylored Expressions. The tags are dies from Whiff of Joy. They were too good to turn down in their closing down sale.

The Sugar Bowl 130
Well that Month sure flew by. Nearly missed getting a card into the Sugar Bowl Challenge. But I found this wee cutie in my box of coloured images, so thought I would get her onto a card. She was a rubber stamp by Krista Smith for Sugar Nellie, but was really limited. But she did appear on the Sugar Nellie Blog as a freebie Digi the other week. The papers are from First Edition. The Holly Leaves are a Spellbinder die with some Craftwork Cards Candy for the berries. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions. And a few green pears to finish. A nice quick card for me (for a change). I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, turned and flipped (I think - haha).

The Sugar Bowl 129
I have had this wee Scrapberry Image coloured for a wee while now. I just couldn't decide on what papers to pair it up with. It finally came to me the other night that it would go perfectly with these papers from Spunky Tart. (Well I think so anyway - Haha). I added my doily to break it up a bit. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions. The circle and oval are dies from MFT. A very simple card as usual from me I am going to enter this card into The Sugar Bowl Challenge where they have an anything goes theme.

The Sugar Bowl 128
Finished another card, this time for the Challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. I have used an oldie for this one, which has been coloured for a very long time too. I have used a stamp by Mary Hall, but I don't think it is available any more. The bit of paper I have used is from Lili of the Valley. I have followed an older sketch from Sketch Saturday, and luckily they have a take your pick (from past sketches) theme going this week. The dies I have used are all MFT.

The Sugar Bowl 127
Running late as usual, but have finished my card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I have used this wee cute Fairy from Sugar Nellie, but I think she has now retired. I have coloured her with Copics and added some Wink of Stella sparkly stuff to her wings. She is nice and sparky, but you can't see in the picture. The papers are from Michele Roo Designs and the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps. The snowflakes are dies from X Cut. And the doilies were just there in front of me, and was crying out to be added. So I was happy to oblige. Haha.

The Sugar Bowl 126
I'm loving these Pocket Letters that are going about. And Yes, I know this isn't a Pocket Letter, but I have so many ideas going around my head I just don't know where to start. So anyway, along the trails on Facebook, I made it to a Tag swap page. I can do tags. So I went with a Gorjuss Girl theme. Will eventually get around to making a Pocket Letter. Well, I thought I could enter these into the Sugar Bowl Challenge where they have an anything goes theme. The green tag is a Personal Impression Stamp, it's the clear stamp set which is slightly smaller than the rubber one. (but not in stock anymore - oops), The paper is from Pink Petticoat. The middle pink one is a Sugar Nellie Gorgeous Girl (and is in stock - yay). The papers on this one are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Bippity Boppity by Libby Pritchett. And the last one is another Personal Impressions stamp the rubber one (and again not in stock). The papers on this one are Ella Blue by GCD Studios.

Another Sugar Bowl - Yay
I managed another card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This time I used a Leanne Ellis stamp called Stitch. I used this layout on a card before and liked how it turned out, so thought I would go with it again. I bought the doilies at The Hobbycraft show years ago and have only used them once before (if that). So I have been busy making cards with them and am lovin them. The papers were a bit of a boo boo, but I was determined that I would use them. They are digi and my printer was obviously having a fit when I printed them - they were supposed to be brown - oops. They are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Christmas Spirit:- Comfort and Joy by Zoe Pearn. I added the two pins for the sewing touch. I don't really have any sewing bits and bobs. Hmm, may need to change that. I also want to enter it into the Papertake Weekly Challenge which has an anything goes theme.
And my first card with this layout was with these cute dolphins from the Craft for Clearwater over at Kit and Clowder Facebook page. They have a bit of a fundraiser going on over there. I think there is still a few days left to donate. The papers are digi by Tamara at Spunky Tart.

The Sugar Bowl 125
Boy where did the last month go. And can you believe I missed the last Challenge over at The Sugar Bowl - no me neither. Well this is the card I made for it, but the Linky thing was away on holiday when I was gonna post it. Teach me to leave it to the very last minute eh. But, hey, another easy Anything Goes this month, so I am still managing to enter it. So my entry into The Sugar Bowl where the theme is Anything Goes. The wee Guy is Furry Friends - Texting and he is Digi. The papers are My Minds Eye, a rather large pad that I have had for an age. I guess I have finished stroking them - Haha. The wee Paw tag is a die from MFT Pet Charms.

The Sugar Bowl 123
This card had me thinking. I was asked to make a card for a 9 year old boy. All the images I could think of I thought were either too old or too young. But - hey - Sugar Nellie to the rescue. I decided that everyone loves dogs and what boy doesn't like texting, so we used this wee Guy. Coloured with polychromos and blended with Sansador and paper stumps. The papers are a huge pad from My Minds Eye. Another of my years old stash. So I am entering him into the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where the theme is anything goes.

The Sugar Bowl 122
A few of my Sisters work mates are having Babies this year. So I thought I would start some Baby cards. Don't know what sex the Babies are, so am going to be busy making pink and blue cards. I have another one of these in blue waiting to be stuck together. I am entering this one into the Sugar Bowl Challenge. The theme is anything Goes, so this fits in nicely. I really haven't managed anything crafty for a while. I just haven't been able to get into it. So hopefully this is me on the up again. The image is a digi stamp from Sugar Nellie - Bebe. The papers are downloads from Pink Petticoat - washed out and Gingham. The sentiment is from Personal Impression and I have added a few punched shapes - flower and jigsaw. I also want to enter it into the challenge over at Cute card Thursday where the theme is Celebrate.

The Sugar Bowl #121
I went back to an older image for this card. I am so lovin Mermaid images just now. So I dug out my Sugar Nellie Under the sea stamp. The papers are from Michelle Roo designs and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley. I think the crab is a Joy die which I have recently bought. Kept pretty simple as per usual for me. I am entering this one into the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where the theme is anything goes.
