The Sugar Bowl 123 again

Oops, I forgot this was the Sketch Saturday Sketch. And - yes - I've missed it. But never mind, I can still enter it into the Sugar Bowl Challenge. This wee cutie is from Sugar Nellie and is in their retiring rubber range, so I'm guessing once they are gone, they are gone. You can get her here. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions. The papers are really old and were freebies from a magazine. The mushroom is a Magnolia die. I thought they looked real sweet, but they are much bigger than I thought they would be. This is the smaller one of the two.

Kraftin Kimmie #276 = Twine

I decided to make a chocolate/bottle tag thing today. I recently bought this Kraftin Kimmie image called Nettie which I thought would be good for them. And another (or at least one) item towards Christmas. I got the tutorial from here.  I am entering it into the Challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie where they want you to use some twine. I have used a little bit in the button. The papers are real again from Dovecraft - although I do have them in digital too. I am also going to enter it into the challenge over at Papertake Weekly where they want to see Cute as a button - either a button or cute. Lucky I used a button eh. Oh, almost forgot. Am entering it into the Sweet Stampin Challenge - Anything but a card.

Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Party

Another Gorjuss Girl card. I do love me Gorjuss Girls. I have a few all coloured up and ready for cards. But I liked the colouring, so couldn't bring myself to put them on cards. But as my colouring is improving I thought just go for it. For this one, I have used a Personal Impression stamp called New Heights. This one is from the clear stamp set. It is slightly smaller than the rubber (hmm - yes I have both rubber and clear). But I can only find her in the Do Crafts range (no - I haven't got this one - yet). Anyway, I am going to enter her into the Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl Challenge. The papers are real and are from GCD Studio - Ella Blue, which I have had for a while, but am slowly getting through. The sentiment is also Personal Impressions and a couple of MFT diecut buttons. I actually used the sketch from Sketch Saturday but missed the deadline oops.
I am also entering her into the ABC Challenge - H for Happy Birthday.

Kraftin Kimmie #274

I decided to get my Copics out and have a wee play. I so need to practice more with them. Although I am quite impressed with my colouring on this one I am more comfortable using my Polychromos pencils, but like the results with the Copics. So I guess it's gonna be practice, practice, practice for me eh. But I also will have to invest in some more colours because I don't have loads of colours other than skin and hair. Well I have a nice pink combo that I can use, but you get a bit fed up colouring everything pink - haha. Anyway - onto my card. The image is from Kraftin Kimmie stamps. The paper's are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Carolina Coast by Melissa bennett. The seashells are a die from Marianne designs. I have followed the April sketch from the Kraftin Kimmie Blog and would like to enter it into their challenge where the theme is to decorate the inside. So I'll give you a little peak of the inside.

Tiddly Inks #154

I managed to get another card made. I know shocking isn't it. I decided to make a card for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks where the theme is Anything Goes. I have a few all coloured up, so thought I would use one of them. The papers are downloads from Sweet Shoppe Designs - A whimsical Garden by Kristen Cronin Barrow. The fence is a Magnolia die, the clouds by Memory Box and the mushrooms are Cottage Cutz Crafts. I added a few red gems, but think they might have been better clear. But hey Ho, they are stuck now. I also want to enter it into the ABC Challenge which is go digital. I can do that. Image is digital by Tiddly Inks and the papers are digital too.

Cute Card Thursday #367

I have wanted to make one of these box card thingies for ages. I even downloaded the instructions, but can't find them now. But when I came across a magazine with it in I just had to give it a go. And it was actually quite simple. But it soo didn't turn out like it was in my head. But I'm likin it anyway. The papers are from one of these fill your box type of places. The image and sentiment is from Slinky Tart. I am entering her into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where the theme is buttons and bows.

Gorjuss Girls

I just love all things Gorjuss. And it all started when Sugar Nellie brought them out as stamps. Now they aren't made by Sugar Nellie, but are still cute. They are now made by Do Crafts, but you can still get them from Funky Kits - the home of Sugar Nellie. They have a few of their own left and some from Personal Impressions from when they did them. I have sooo many of them, but never too many - haha. This one is from Do Crafts and is called Ladybird - but typical I can't find her in the shop. The papers are also Gorjuss Girl papers. I am entering her into the Gorjuss 2000 Party over at Sugar Nellie.

The Sugar Bowl 123

This card had me thinking. I was asked to make a card for a 9 year old boy. All the images I could think of I thought were either too old or too young. But - hey - Sugar Nellie to the rescue. I decided that everyone loves dogs and what boy doesn't like texting, so we used this wee Guy. Coloured with polychromos and blended with Sansador and paper stumps. The papers are a huge pad from My Minds Eye. Another of my years old stash. So I am entering him into the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where the theme is anything goes.

Papertake Weekly

It's been a while since I have made a card without a cute image. So here is one with just a diecut as the main image. Can you guess someone is into gaming - no. Haha. Well I thought I would enter this into the challenge over at Papertake Weekly where they want to see cutting of some sort. I have kept it very simple. The die is from MFT and the 11 is a sizzix set I have had for an age. I printed the text out.

And keeping on the boy theme. I have used a wee cutie from Polkadoodles. The papers are from Basic Grey. Which I have had for a very long time. They are nearing their end. I drew and cut out the trophy.

Tiddly Inks Boys

Yay - I made a Boys card. I really don't do Boys, so this was a good challenge to do. Yep - the challenge over at Tiddly Inks is all about Boys. So I thought I would give it a go, and am quite liking it. This wee Guy is coloured with Polychromos and blended with sansador. The papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - High Octane by Heather Roselli. Oh and of course, the wee Guy is from Tiddly Inks. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions and the arrow is a rather old sizzix die that I've never used before (shh, don't say it out loud). I am also going to enter it into the challenge over at Papertake Weekly where the theme is Happy.......anything.

The Sugar Bowl 122

A few of my Sisters work mates are having Babies this year. So I thought I would start some Baby cards. Don't know what sex the Babies are, so am going to be busy making pink and blue cards. I have another one of these in blue waiting to be stuck together. I am entering this one into the Sugar Bowl Challenge. The theme is anything Goes, so this fits in nicely. I really haven't managed anything crafty for a while. I just haven't been able to get into it. So hopefully this is me on the up again. The image is a digi stamp from Sugar Nellie - Bebe. The papers are downloads from Pink Petticoat - washed out and Gingham. I went back to an older image for this card. I am so lovin Mermaid images just now. So I dug out my Sugar Nellie Under the sea stamp. The papers are from Michelle Roo designs and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley. I think the crab is a Joy die which I have recently bought. Kept pretty simple as per usual for me. I am entering this one into the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where the theme is anything goes.

I have had this image coloured for ages, so thought it was about time she made it to a card. So here we are. So I am going to enter her into the challenge over at Bella and Bronte's where the challenge is anything goes with the optional extra of warm. This dressing gown looks lovely and warm - right. Every so often I decide to use some of the stash I have hidden around.

High Hopes Furry Friends

The challenge over at High Hopes is Furry Friends. Well I just had to use this image which has been coloured for ages. I always wanted to make a wee album for our brief stay in Canada. And this image was always gonna be the front cover. Only I never got round to starting it. Well here is the front cover - finally made. And the rest of the album will probably take just as long - haha. The papers are from Nitwits - Canadiana Collection - I just had to have these. I decided I wanted to try an 8x8 album. I only ever do dinky albums when I eventually do make them. And here are two of my fave pictures which will make it in the album. We stayed at Jasper a couple of times and did the Tourist thing. We went to a Glacia and took the bus trip out onto it. I am going to have to check the name and spelling though.

I liked this next one, I think it is because of the flags flying, gave it a bit of colour.

New Baby

Well I decided to have a go at the sketch over at Friday Sketch Challenge. I even made two cards using the same image, but different colour way. I have had these coloured for quite a while, so thought I would use them both. Both have used papers downloaded from Pink Petticoat - white washed and gingham. The cute image is called Rocking Horse from Lili of the Valley. The sentiment is from a Personal Impressions clear stamp set.

I also want to enter them into the Papertake Weekly Challenge where the theme is it's new.

All Dressed Up Sugar

Got myself another wee entry into the Sugar Bowl Challenge. Another of the All Dressed Up images from Sugar Nellie. This one is a rubber stamp called Little Raindrops. I have used digi papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs - C'est La Vie by Zoe Pearn. I have added some ribbon, card candy and a few die cuts. Oh and a few rhinestones. Yep, I think I got a little carried away with them. I also added some Stickles glitter as a puddle at her feet. The die cuts are all MFT Blueprints 14. I also want to enter it into the Sketch Saturday Challenge as I followed their sketch. I am also going to enter her into the All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge where the theme is glitter and sparkle.

The Sugar Bowl 120

Had a wee play with my few days off. So I managed to make a wee card for the Challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where there is an anything goes theme. I used one of my new All Dressed Up Rubber stamps (shh - don't tell Hubby) - She is called Autumn Leaves and truly adorable. I have a bit of a thing with images with mushrooms for some reason. The mushroom dies are Cottage Cutz Mini Mushrooms. They were probably a bit smaller than expected, but are still cute. I had a wee accident with my white pen when giving it some white dots, so my mushroom is looking a bit rotten - haha. So a wee bird flew down to try and disguise it. The bird is a Memory Box die - Resting Birds. The papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Dear Diary by Kristin Cronin-Barrow. The sentiment is a Kanban clear stamp.

High Hopes #247

I've had this card finished for a while now, so thought I had better get it posted. It can be my first card in the pile for 2015. Yay - go me. The stamp is an older one from High Hopes. I love these older one, but as with most of my stash, don't use them anywhere near enough. I have made a DL card using papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Forecast Flurries by Eva Kipler. The sentiment I think is from Crafters Companion from one of the Popcorn the bear range of stamps. I am entering this card into the challenge over at High Hopes where the theme is Anything Christmas.

Another entry for me into the Challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. And another non Chrsitmas card too. Thought I had better get Big Sis's Birthday card made. Her Birthday was yesterday, so all good. It's really not my usual colours, but I am liking them. The papers are from Lili of the Valley. I think Big Sis probably chose the pad too. I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I thought I had missed it, but they are leaving the challenge open for 2 weeks. Wahey - result. The flower is from an MFT Blueprint die set. I thought I would add a few sequins, just because I could. The Sugar Bowl 119

Decided to go with a non Christmas card for this one. Maybe then I can get back into the swing of all things Christmas again. I have used a cute new digi image from Sugar Nellie. This one is called Floral Ladies #2. There is a butterfly under the diecut butterfly, but I didn't know what colour to colour it, so I covered it up. I have coloured her with Polychromos.
