The Sugar Bowl 138

Yep it's that time again. Time for another Challenge over at Sugar Nellie. These Months are just flying buy aren't they. It'll be Christmas before we know it. Haha - yes I did say the C word. I really do need to start my Christmas cards soon. I usually enjoy making them throughout the year, but I haven't made any this year - oops. Anyway - back to the challenge. As usual it is anything goes, as long as you use a Sugar Nellie stamp. They have a cool prize of 4 stamps or digis of your choice. So dig out your Sugar Nellie / Gorjuss Girl stamps and play along.
Well for my card I have used an oldie. Miss Tulip by Mary Hall. And she is only £2.00 - a bargain. I thought she would be good to colour with the Nature class from Kit and Clowder, but I haven't got the class yet. So when I do eventually get it (yep - I am likely to get it pretty soon) then I may colour her up again to see the difference. The square die is MFT, the Sun is Lil Inker and the tag is a Spellbinder die. The sentiment is Taloured Expressions I think. The paper is digi from Sweet Shoppe Designs - A Whimsical garden by Kristen Cronin Barrow. I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday but have rotated it slightly.

Kraftin Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday

I have made an Easel card for the Wonderful Wednesday Challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. The theme is as always Anything goes, so nice and simple for you all. I have used one of the new stamp sets called Fancy Flamingos, and I love them. I had to go shopping for some Flamingo papers and found some digi ones from sweet shoppe Designs which I thought were perfect. So my card is A6 size and made into an easel card. I don't make them very often (not sure why) but sure do like the end result. The sun is a die from Lil Inker. I went looking for a sun die cos I didn't have any, now I have 4 - oops. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I stamped the sentiment on Vellum, just for something different.

And just another angle for ya.

Kraftin Kimmie 337

I'm a little late with my Challenge card for the Challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge, but better late than never - right. Well I am still a Guest DT (for the month of June), so thought I had better get a move on. The theme for this Saturday Challenge is Wedding / Special Occasion. So I decided to use this cute couple - Lets Celebrate. Coloured with Polychromos Pencils and blended with Sansador using paper stumps. The papers are First Edition (I know real papers - shocking). The anniversary sentiment is from this stamp set too. I have also used the June Sketch from Kraftin Kimmie. I am going to enter this card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge where their theme is Wedding / Anniversary. How lucky was that eh.

Anything but a card Kraftin Kimmie

Well it's time over at Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge Blog for there anything but a card challenge. So I decided to make another one of my Sticky Note Calendars. Again, I am still waiting for next years Calendar Tabs, but I think they should be out next month - yay. I am lucky to be Guest Designer for the Month of June, so thought I would get something made for this challenge.

I make an Easel card out of an A6 size card. The sheep is coloured using Polychromos Pencils and blended with Sansador using paper stumps. Cut out with a MFT stitched circle die. The scallop die is from Tonic. I found a very old Quickutz die in my craft bits for the grass. Probably the first time used too - Haha. Added a square sticky note pad and pencil to the bottom part. The pencil loop is a bit of elastic (thought it would be easier to get the pencil in and out with elastic). Really simple to make. Now I'm just waiting for the Calendar Tabs to come out. Oh and the papers are by Papermania with green card for the mats.

Kraftin Kimmie June Release

The time has come for the new release over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps to be released. And I am happy to say I am joining in on their Blog hop. I am again showing Floating Fiona, who is totally adorable. I have coloured her with Copics this time.

There is now a new store over at Kraftin Kimmie which looks super cool. And, if you place an order this weekend, Kim is sending you an extra wee freebie (it may be a stamp, sequins, buttons, brads, flowers or anything) Don't we just love surprises. And there are plenty of gorgeous stamps to be had, so go on, take a peek here.

For my card I have used Floating Fiona which is a clear stamp set, and is rather gorgeous. The papers are Echo Park - Summer Party. I coloured her with Copics ( I am just learning these so tend to avoid using them, but like the depth of the colours). I am pretty happy with how she turned out. The sentiment is also part of the same stamp set. The starfish charm was just crying out to be used, so I had to oblige haha. Oh, and don't forget the few sequins.
So go on and check out the whole release along the Blog hop. And, they are all now available too.

I am going to enter her into the challenge over at Sweet Stampin where the theme is lots of layers (3 or more).

Kraftin Kimmie Sneek Peek

Woo hoo - I'm a Krafty Guest for today's new release sneek peek over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Today is Day three and we're previewing the fab new stamp set called Floating Fiona by Artist Annie Rodrigue. And boy is it a cute set. You get one image and five sassy sentiments. You're really gonna love her.

You can get your hands on this set and all the others on Saturday night when they will be released. From Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

Now for my take on her. She really was lovely to colour. I have a wee soft spot for dolphins, so she was perfect for me (even though it was a blow up dolphin - haha). I coloured her up with Polychromos pencils and blended with Sansador using paper stumps. The papers are nice and summery and are called Summer Party by Echo Park. I have kept things very simple (as usual), only adding some clouds and twine. The clouds are a Memory Box die which I have had for years. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and cut into a tag shape.
I am going to attempt to add the Linky thingie with all the Krafty Girls to visit. But if for some reason I don't get it right you can find the link back at Kraftin Kimmie's Blog.
