High Hopes #41

Over at the High Hopes challenge blog, the theme is sparkle and shine. For this I have added some stickles to the belt buckle, sporran and dog collar. I have also added 3 rhinestones to the corner of the image. I haven't done this for a few cards, so thought I would get my fix. I think these guys were amongst my 1st HH stamps. They are Oliver and his wee dog (2 stamps). I have kept it pretty simple, but hey, I like simple.

Winter Wonderland

Over at Winter Wonderland they want to see a Christmas Ornament. I didn't know what to do for this one. But I managed to make a fimo penguin. The penguin bit was OK, but the hat was a nightmare. I'm still not sure about it, but hey, it's done now. I added googly eyes, just for fun.

Penny Black

Over at the PB Challenge they have a recipe for you - 3 ribbons, 2 flowers and 1 pin/charm. I have used Pink Petticoat papers, my Martha Stewart punch - arch lattice. I don't have pins - although they do look pretty cool, so have used a charm. The flowers are Prima.

Magnolia Wk 15

There is a sketch by Tab over at Just Magnolia. I quite enjoyed this sketch - I don't normally use this many layers. I love this Tilda, but don't use it often. The papers are K & Co - Blue Awning. I got the jute from Bunny Zoe's crafts. I added a wee swirl - just because really. It's a Quickutz Revolution shapes die which I got from Crafts u love.

Friday Sketches & A Spoonful of Sugar

I have followed the sketch over at Friday Sketches and added a wee swirl so it covers the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar which is swirls. The papers are a download from Sweet shoppe designs, as are the flowers and the image is from Sugar Nellie.

The Sugar Bowl #15

Over at The Sugar Bowl there is a fab sketch by Gayle. The added extra is Ribbons and/or Bows. I managed both (just to be on the safe side eh.). I actually made 2 cards for this one. I wasn't completely convinced the first one was OK, so made another one. The Hubby preferred the first, so I will show the two.
The 1st one I have used MME papers with an Elisabeth Bell stamp. And the 2nd, I have used Pink Petticoat papers with a Leeanne Ellis stamp.

Inspirational Sketches #26

This is the first time I have tried Inspirational sketches. I kinda like this card, but think it could do with something else in the wee squares. But as I don't know what, I just left it. The image is Sarah Kay and the papers are Tinker & Co. The sentiment is Woodware cut out with a nestie.

Penny Black Wk 58

Over at Penny Black Challenge the theme is soft & sweet. I'm not sure if this counts, but I do think these Ballerina Hedgies are pretty sweet. The papers are from a Tinker & Co CD I think. The flowers are Prima. I seem to be having a run on DL cards at the mo. Makes a change from sq cards right enough.

Just Magnolia Buttons

Over at Just Magnolia they want to see buttons on your card. So buttons they get. I have used Pink Petticoat papers, but I'm not sure about the colour. I do like the colour, but think it is just too much. But hey - it's done now.

Xmas in July

Over at Cute Card Thursday they want to see Christmas in July. Hey, I'm getting the hang of this Crimbo thing. Anyway, for this one I used a cute Bildmalarna stamp with Pink Petticoat papers. A punched out snowflake with a button on and I printed the text out. Fairly simple, but I like. Please excuse the piccies. I'm trying different angles to see if they look any better, but they just look squint. Don't you just want to straighten it up.

High Hopes #40 & Winter Wonderland Wk8

Over at High Hopes they are wanting to see Christmas in July. I had this image coloured up (for last year I have to admit), but didn't know what to do with it, as it is a bit bigger than my norm. Anyway, I dug it out and decided I wanted to try to do something with it. So I moved it about on a DL card, and was quite pleased with the result. I am also entering it into the Winter Wonderland Challenge which is Santa Clause is coming to town. The papers are Papermania and the flower is Prima. I have also put a button in the middle of the flower, and stuck them on top of a punched out snowflake. And printed the sentiment from the computer.

Winter Wonderland Wk 7

Over at Winter Wonderland they want to see Christmas present on your card. I took this to be modern day (but added a present in just in case). Actually, I had this image stamped and ready to be coloured in, so thought she would be perfect. I'm trying to use all my older stamps, but have to say, I still seem to want new ones. Oh well, I guess it just has to be done eh. The paper is Dovecraft.

Friday Sketches #60

For this weeks Friday Sketches I decided to use an image from The Character Cafe which I won last week. Thanks guys. I'm not sure I've done it justice right enough. The circles are meant to look like golf balls - do you think?? The papers are Basic Grey - Archaic.

A Spoonful of Sugar #60

Over at A Spoonful of Sugar they have a sketch by Debbie. I enjoyed doing this sketch - once I had figured out what papers to use. Yep - I coloured the image in first and then looked. Anyway the stamp is by Bildmalarna (or something like that anyway) and I got it from Bunny Zoes crafts The papers are from Funky Hand and the flowers were from Poppiecrafts - but they have stopped doing them - boo hoo!! Excuse the squinty photo, but it was one of those days where it didn't matter which way I took it, something was wrong.

Whiff of Joy #38

Over at Whiff of Joy challenge they have a sketch to follow. I used some download papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I loved the MME bloom and grow papers, so found the download with the same papers - cool. The flowers are also from this download.

3 challenges again

I have followed the sketch from over at Truly Scrumptious. The theme is Black, White and one other colour. I think we can guess my other colour is pink.Yeah - we can. I have used my Martha Stewart Heart lace punch, so think I can enter it into A Spoonful of Sugar - which is to use hearts. And the image is High Hopes. Over at High Hopes challenge they want you to use polka dots. I didn't realise it at the time, but I can enter it into that one too. I have a few dotty bits in there.

Winter Wonderland Wk6

Over at Winter Wonderland they want to see Christmas past. That means Vintage - ish for me. Well - lucky for me, I have Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD. So I got printing and this is what I came up with. I was having a bit of a Tartan thing - hence the ribbon.

Blog candy

Chrissy - High Hopes Artist - is offering some fab candy to say Thank You to her supporters. She has 7 fantastic prizes. Closing date is Wed 15th July. So go check it out. She is also showing sneak peaks of new High Hopes stamps which will be released on Sat. Cool or what.

Penny Black

Over at the Penny Black Challenge they want to see red, white and blue. I don't normally use these colours - but I kinda like it, so might have to invest in more of these colours. The papers are from Daisy and Dandelion, which I got at the weekend.

The Sugar Bowl #14

Over at The Sugar Bowl there is a great sketch by Judy to follow. They also want you to include some sparkle. For my sparkle I have used some stickles on both the crowns, I think you can just about see it. The papers are Basic Grey - Sugared, and the text is from the computer. The image is of course a Diane Duda one.

3 challenges in 1

I have managed to combine3 challenges in one here (I think anyway). I have used the sketch over at Friday sketches and used a Magnolia image to enter into Just Magnolia, they are wanting you to use charms. So along came the dragonfly for that. And over at Cute card Thursday they want to see stitching - faux or real. Well if you can call it faux stitching, then it's there. One of these days I will venture into the world of real sewing on my cards. It looks fab on everyone Else's, but I don't think it'll turn out quite right for me. The papers are Pink Petticoat as usual for me.

Weddings

I was asked to make a nice Wedding card. That's it. I wasn't sure at first, but once I got started I was off. I even made a box for it, as the Heather made it a bit bulky. I have covered the names up, just in case they come across my Blog, and I have still to put the date in somewhere. But it's a start eh.

Truly Scrumptious challenge 10

I made this card with the sketch from Truly Scrumptious challenge and used Giddy up by Elisabeth Bell from Sugar Nellie with Basic Grey papers. I just love this stamp, but she has been pushed to the back as the new stamps arrive. So hopefully I have rescued her for a wee while. The flowers are Prima and the Yee Haw was printed from the computer.

Winter Wonderland Wk 5

Over at Winter Wonderland they want you to make a cracker. So here we have a cracker, and yes, I did get carried away and made a card to match. Not sure who gets a matching card and cracker right enough, but hey - that's not to say I can't, yeah. The papers are Pink Petticoat ( I bet you couldn't guess that eh). I thought I had better use paper I had easy access to - in case it didn't quite go to plan. The image is Elzybells cut out with a nestie.

Penny Black wk55

The challenge over at Penny Black is a sketch. I have used my froggy stamp for this one, along with papers from a Chris Warner CD. The Happy Birthday is also Penny Black, cut out with a nestie. Flowers are Poppicraft.

Magnolia

Over at Magnolia challenge they have got a fab sketch. For this I hunted around for some different paper. By different I actually mean not Pink Petticoat. And hey, I came up with K & Co. Yeah I do like this.
