Batman in disguise

When I saw the challenge over at Tiddly Inks was all about super powers, I thought this wee Batty Boy would be perfect. Only - oops - I hadn't actually bought him yet. So a little shopping spree was required. Anyway, I coloured him in, but something was wrong. So I Googled Batman, and yes I had coloured him wrong. His suit is grey not black and his cape is blue. OK - note to self, Google BEFORE I colour image. But he still looks cute - right. Anyway, he made it onto a card. And I didn't even use any design papers. That doesn't happen very often with me. I have followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and I also want to enter him into the Papertake Weekly Challenge where the theme is something for the Boys. I am also entering him into the Sweet Stampin Challenge where the theme is black and white with a pop of colour. The wee bat die cut is an old Sizzix Paddle Punch thing that I got before my machines. You hit the die bits with a hammer. I know, life before Bigshots eh.

Mo's Snowman

Over at Mo's Facebook page we were offered this cute snowman free for 24hrs. Of course, I just had to have it. You can now buy it in the shop here. They have also got a wee challenge going to use him over there, so I guess I will enter him on Facebook too. I have followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday, so am entering it over there too. I also want to enter it into the June Challenge at Christmas cards all year round where the theme is Snowman. The papers are digi papers by Michele Roo. The sentiment is from a stamp set by Crafty Impressions. And a Whimsy diecut snowflake.

I turned the sketch upside down for my card.
And Better late than never. Haha. I am also entering this wee Guy into Mo's Challenge over on the Blog. It is an Anything goes challenge.

Another Sugar Bowl - Yay

I managed another card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This time I used a Leanne Ellis stamp called Stitch. I used this layout on a card before and liked how it turned out, so thought I would go with it again. I bought the doilies at The Hobbycraft show years ago and have only used them once before (if that). So I have been busy making cards with them and am lovin them. The papers were a bit of a boo boo, but I was determined that I would use them. They are digi and my printer was obviously having a fit when I printed them - they were supposed to be brown - oops. They are from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Christmas Spirit:- Comfort and Joy by Zoe Pearn. I added the two pins for the sewing touch. I don't really have any sewing bits and bobs. Hmm, may need to change that. I also want to enter it into the Papertake Weekly Challenge which has an anything goes theme.

And my first card with this layout was with these cute dolphins from the Craft for Clearwater over at Kit and Clowder Facebook page. They have a bit of a fundraiser going on over there. I think there is still a few days left to donate. The papers are digi by Tamara at Spunky Tart.

Winter Wonderland Tags

I really must get a start on some Christmas makes. So I have made some Tags for the Winter Wonderland Challenge. For some reason, when I make tags, I seem to go in sets of six. And as these coffee cups are in at the moment, I thought I would jump in with them. (Hopefully they will still be big at Christmas - Haha). Anyway - the cup is a Whimsy Die and I love it. It certainly makes cute gift tags. The red one are using Papers from Michele Roo Designs and the holly is a Spellbinders die. And then a wee bit of bakers twine to finish.

The black ones are just some black card. I have glued it onto white card so you can see the writing on the back, but I suppose if you use a white pen, you wouldn't need to do that. The snowflake is from a large set of dies from x-cut that I managed to get at a Hobbycraft show.

I think I am liking the red ones best, but both are nice. The die is a nice size for these.
