My entry for The Sugar Bowl. This card has been finished for about a week now, but my Laptop has died on me - so a little trip to PC World is in order me thinks. But never fear - I have managed to pinch my Dad's for a while (Ssh don't tell him). Anyway I got a new download from Sweet Shoppe Designs - Forecast Flurries (I think) and now think this is my new fave papers (for now anyway). This wee sweetie is from Sugar Nellie and the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

The Sugar Bowl 70
This card has been made for about a week now. So thought I had better post it before the new challenge. This one is for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl where I have flipped the sketch. The optional extra is clean and simple. Yes - while my cards are pretty simple usually, I do like to use more than one dp. The image is a new one from Sugar Nellie. The papers are First edition and the sentiment is Cats Life Press. Found a few flowers - think they are Prima, with a pearl brad and I think the swirl is a quickutz die.

The Sugar Bowl #69
Running late as usual. Visitors and crafting don't go together, so posting this in between visitors. Don't get me wrong, it's great to see them all. Anyway, my card for The Sugar Bowl challenge. The optional extra is a photo which I took to be green (very green and gingham). So I used Pink Petticoat papers and Lili of the Valley sentiment alongside my Simply Sassy image. Matted on green card and coloured with Polychromos and blended with sansador.

Saturated Canary Challenge #1
Soo wanted to get a card made for the first Challenge over at the Saturated Canary Challenge blog. So love these digi images, and soo love Halloween too. Not that I ever really made Halloween cards, so I guess peeps will be getting a surprise when they receive these eh. I wasn't sure where I was going with the sketch, but think it turned out pretty cool. The paper is a download from Sweet Shoppe Designs, can't remember who by, but it's not a Halloween set. The web is a Martha Stewart punch and the ticket a Whimsy digi. The ghost is a Sizzlet die - a set of 3 charms. I bought these to make some charms with shrink plastic, but so far have only used them like this - cutting the hole part away. Added a bit of ribbon and buttons and that's me. Really liked how this turned out, so may have to make a few more like this.

The Sugar Bowl 67
Finally got round to posting my card for the The Sugar Bowl challenge., using this darling Sugar Nellie Heavenly Angel image. Coloured her very lightly in yellowy colours. Cut her out with nesties and added some stars. The extra is to use scraps - well I managed to use some scraps to add the strips of white at the back. I added some antique linen distress ink around the edges. The card really didn't photo very well - it does look much better IRL.

The Sugar Bowl 66
I wasn't gonna do the challenge this time over at The Sugar Bowl, just couldn't get into it at all. But a little bit of me time, crafting away soon changed that. So here we have my card with the optional extra of one for the girls. I coloured this super cute image - Warm Winter Friends from Sugar Nellie and cut it out. Cut a circle out with a nestie and embossed it with a snowflake cuttlebug folder. The papers are the Me To You Christmas range from Do crafts. Lovin these - think I might need to buy some more. Added some punched circles and sentiment from Craftwork cards and that's me.

The Sugar Bowl 65 - 2nd entry
My 2nd card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This time I decided not to go with the optional of blue (mainly because the image was already coloured to match these papers). But I just had to get this image onto a card - lovin this one. I added a bit of stickles to her clothes to make it nice and sparkly. The papers are a download from Sweet shoppe designs - Winter Wishes by Zoe Pearn. These were my must use papers last year, and working on it this year. The border punch is EK Success - just had to get some snowflakes in there somewhere. The sentiment circle is from Whimsy stamps.

The Sugar Bowl #65
Thought I had post this card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl before I forget. I was supposed to post it the other day - oops. Anyway - the optional theme is blue. I kinda used blue (as long as the added pink is OK - and yes, it is blue paper honest). The paper is a download from Pink Petticoat and I found the ribbon in my stash and thought it would go. Martha Stewart cherish border punch and butterflies to finish off my Sassy image. I'm lovin these girls - soo cute.

Winter Wonderland CCT
I thought I had better get cracking on some Christmas cards. Everyone around me keeps telling me it's only so many weeks til Christmas. Aaargh. So for the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday they want to see clean and simple. I don't usually go for this style, but might just have to change that. I got this Marianne D stag die, which says it all really. So I printed out the Merry Christmas (several times before I got the right size/place right enough) and matted all onto brown card. Yes - brown, I know it looks black though. I scribbled the brown around the text layer just because I thought it looked a bit bare.
And my second card for the challenge over at Winter Wonderland where the theme is Light it up. So I used this cute Bildmalarna image and the sketch over at Sweet stop. The papers are Papermania, punched snowflake, printed sentiment, a bit of ribbon, button and job done.

The Sugar Bowl #64
Thought I had better get a move on with my card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. They give you longer - well it just takes me longer to make it. It isn't really how it started out to be. I coloured my Sugar Nellie Pip image and started cutting the paper for a 5" card. Oops - image is a bit too big for that. So I was gonna print more out, but lay ed it onto the 6" card and thought I would give it a go using that bit. It's not how I usually end up, but think I might just have to try it again. The papers are Sweet shoppe Designs by Zoe Pearn. I added a bit of lace and a doily cut from a cheery Lyn design die. I couldn't find the sentiment stamp I wanted, so left it for now. I don't know if I will add one later - probably not. I chose the bright colours for the Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge, which is summery yellows and oranges.

The Sugar Bowl #63
My first card here is for the challenge over on Sugar Nellie Facebook page, which is Christmas in July. I got my super cute new rubber in (shh don't tell Hubby), so just had to make a card. Image is Snow Buddies from Sugar Nellie and papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs by Zoe Pearn - Happy Holidays. Sentiment is Lili of the Valley and tree is a Marianne D die. Excuse the light reflection on the snowman. We had a nice sunny day, so I took the photo outside and I think it was too bright on the table. Oh you just can't win taking photos can you.
And my second card is yet another newbie from Sugar Nellie. A Pip this time. I'm lovin these wee guys (OK Girls). This card is for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl and the added extra is to make your own flowers - I can do that yeah. I used 2 different sized EK Success punches, inked around the edges and added some pearls. The papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs (again) - A little Shabby A little Sweet by Shawna Clingerman and Susan Bartolini. I did draw a rock for wee Pip to sit on, couldn't have her in mid air now could I. The sentiment stamps are from Whimsy stamps and I have added a bit of seam binding. Again excuse the bright marks on her face - more sun.

The Sugar Bowl #62
Here we have my card for The Sugar Bowl challenge with the extra of summer. These wee guys were already coloured and crying out to be used. So I used more digi papers from Sweet shoppe Designs - High Octane by Heather Roselli. I've kept it pretty simple really, but think the image goes with that. I don't think you can get this stamp anymore - Hamish and Maggie from Sugar Nellie. The fun has been die cut using sizzix sizzlet dies.

The Sugar Bowl #61
I have a couple of things to show today. First up I have my entry for The Sugar Bowl where the theme is Love/Weddings. So I thought this was the only stamp I had suitable for it (not so I guess when you really look at the stamps). Anyway, I decided to use the Tartan ribbon, so was kinda limited as to what paper I could use. The paper is from a Crafters Companion CD - Love 2. They are a little redder than I thought, but hey ho - they still work. I have embossed the circle with a heart Cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment is Lili of the Valley. I have also added 3 flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts with some Papermania gem brads in the centre.
And secondly I have made a bag from a Tutorial from Simply Sassy. I have been eyeing this up for a while and finally got round to making it - Love it. It so isn't how I started out, but I'm liking it (I think). Not too sure if the bunch of flowers is too much, but it's stuck now. I have a pink feather behind the flowers too - found it among some real old stash, so thought - why not. Used Martha Stewart Cherish punch for the bottom border and added a few punched MS butterflies and added some pearls on there too. And as there is a pin among the flowers, thought I would enter it into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where the theme is pins and pearls. The paper is Papermania and I used nesties to cut out the handles. Now I just have to find something nice to put in it. Although Big Sis has been known to just get an empty box (oops), but - hey she's loved them anyway.

Oops - nearly forgot to post this one. My card for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. Kept it pretty simple again. The papers are a download from Sweet shoppe designs, and some lace and flower from Wild Orchid crafts with a gem brad in the centre. Coloured with polychromos and cut out with my nesties, and the sentiment is Craftwork cards.

Penny Black Sat wk150
Today's card is for the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday, where they want to see Distressing. I have distressed a wee bit. I have sponged around the edges of the image and the text. The papers are again downloads from Sweet shoppe designs. Both the sentiment and image are Penny Black - Just had to have these (my Sis works in Spec savers). I glossy accented the glasses to make them look more realistic. Added a wee charm on some ribbon and corner and that's it really.

The Sugar Bowl #59
I'm quick of the mark this week with my Sugar Bowl card. Normally I'm last minute. And look - I've even put a watermark thingy on too. Not that someone will want to steal my cards, but hey ho, just to be on the safe side. You'll probably find it all over the cards til I find where I really want it, but I'll get there. Anyway, I have used an older stamp for this one, just love this wee guy from the Homegrown range. The pink paper is Pink Petticoat and the doily is a Cheery Lyn Die cut. With Kraft card for matts and the text. I have also added some Craftwork card candy things in the corners. The extra option is for distressing/vintage. have done that with my new Tim Holtz distressing tool thingy. I don't know what I have done here, but I have somehow managed to change the text. Cool - if only I knew how I did it.

The Sugar Bowl #58
Another Sugar Bowl card from me. The extra was buttons for this one. I used another coloured Sassy girl (getting through them slowly) with papers from Sweet shoppe designs. I punched the flowers out from the same papers and added a little pearl in the centres. The corner is from Wild Orchid crafts (I'm liking these). Just a quickie post from me today, so losing time these days.

The Sugarbowl 56
For my first card I have followed the sketch over at The Sugarbowl with the option of using pink. I had this Simply Sassy image all coloured up and waiting to be made into a card. I couldn't go completely pink, so managed to add a little green(ish) colour too. The papers are from Sweet Shoppe Designs and are by Zoe Pearn. The snowflake border is an EK Success punch and the wee flowers are Marianne Designs die and the corner is Nellie Snellen die. The snowflakes are an old punch I have. Added a little bit of ribbon and printed sentiment and job done - Oh, and a bit of stickles for the glistening snow.
And my next card is for the Sugar Nellie challenge over on Facebook. They want a white on white card. It is all white - honest. The image looks like it has had some ink on the edges, but no - it's just from the die. Embossed the backing with the swiss dots Cuttlebug folder and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with Craftwork candy in the centre, and a little bit of ribbon.

Sugar Nellie Sketch Saturday
For the Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge they want you to make a child's card. I had this guy all coloured in, so thought I would use him. I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday which I thought was perfect for this wee guy. It's a 6inch card, I normally use 5inch, but the image was just a bit big for the 5. But I'm liking it, and can see me making more of this size. The papers are a download from sweet shoppe designs by H Roselli. The sentiment is a stamp from Whimsy stamps and the 4 is cut with a sizzix die and I have used the zig zag MS punch. Coloured with polychromos.

The Sugar Bowl & Friday Sketches
Two cards today, both using new Mangas from Sugar Nellie. First up I have a card following the sketch over at Friday Sketches. I have used some papers that were free from a magazine - they are by Nitwits. I knew I really wanted to use them, but kept picking them up and putting them down again. So decided now was the time. The wee Bee was part of the set too. I cut the circle with a die from Nellie Snellen (I think) and the sentiment I have had an age and don't know who it is by. And a bit of seam binding to finish off.
My second card is following the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl. The option was clean and simple. I'm not really very good at that bit, but think I managed it here. Just used white card and black matt. The sentiment is from a Popcorn set from Crafters Companion.

CCT & Friday Sketches
I have managed another card for a couple of challenges. I have used the sketch over at Friday Sketches. Wasn't too sure at first, but my image fitted into the circle, so gave it a go. And with everything put on, I think it comes together. The papers are a download from Sweet Shop Designs and some kraft card. The image and sentiment came together and are a download from Bugaboo. Punched some flowers and cut some triangles, embossed the circle with swiss dots Cuttlebug folder and job done I think. The card also fits into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday which is banish the blues - a card with a bit of humour. Well I thought it was good anyway.

The Sugar Bowl #52
Yay - I'm on a roll with this card making thing. I've managed to get my card finished for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. The theme is love, but I decided to go with the J'adore thing. I really don't know where that came from. I put the hearts on, but they ended up slightly squint. But I decided to put a bow on the one that was sticking out more. To make you think it's supposed to I guess. The papers are Ella Blue I think, just love these. And of course my image is a Simply Sassy girl from Sugar Nellie. Loving these girls, just can't get enough of them. Just have to make some cards with the mountain of coloured images I now have. I added some punched flowers and some papermania dew drop thingies.

Papertake weekly and more
For my card today I have followed the sketch over at Papertake weekly, but have turned it upside down. I decided to make a Valentines card for the Hubby, So the card also fits into the challenge over at A spoonful of sugar which is Valentines. And over at the High Hopes challenge the theme is Glitter or Sparkle. There is some on there - honest. I have put stickles on the stamped hearts. The papers are Pink Petticoat, the image is High Hopes and the sentiment is Whimsy stamps. I cut the hearts out myself, but didn't do it too well. But it's OK, I managed to hide the worst bits by putting them under the larger one. I kept it pretty simple as I didn't think Hubby would really want flowers and bows. (Not this time anyway)

ABC Xmas - B
I finally finished my card for the challenge over at ABC Xmas. They are at B - for Black and White, and have offered this freebie Dustin Pike image. How cool is that. So I decided to use white with black matt. I was planning on using B&W papers right enough, but they are buried somewhere. But I kinda like it. I have kinda used an old sketch from Friday Sketches which I am liking. I added a bit of ribbon and some MS punched snowflakes with some black Craftwork cards card candy. I also embossed the two white bits behind the image with snowflakes, and the sentiment is Cats Life Press.

The Sugar Bowl #51
Well I thought I would try and get crafting again. So what better way than to enter The Sugar Bowl challenge. I kept it pretty simple really, and even inked up one of my new stamps. A lovely Leanne Ellis stamp. I used Pink Petticoat papers and Craftwork cards sentiment and card candy. The flowers are Prima I think, found them while I was having a nosey in some boxes. I cut the circles out with nesties and embossed the white bit.
